According to John Maxwell,”Problem solving is the fastest way to gain leadership. When I read this the story of Joseph the Hebrew boy who was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers came to me mind.

The brothers of Joseph hated him so much that with 20 pieces of silver they sold him to slave traders who took him to Egypt and sold him for a profit to the captain of Pharaoh’s guards.

Joseph focused on solving problems instead of his unjust, cruel and unfortunate situation. He ran his master’s business successfully, and was promoted to be in charge of all his master’s business.

Then his master’s wife tried to seduce him to have sex with him and Joseph refused on many different occasion. This woman in retaliation did the unthinkable, she accused him of rape and it landed Joseph in prison.

Even in prison he kept solving problems for others. Two officials of the king had dreams that troubled them and Joseph forget about his own troubles and helped them out, by interpreting their dreams and his interpretations came to pass.

When pharaoh had a dream that nobody in Egypt could interpret Joseph was called up and he provided a solution and this earned him the position of a prime minister in Egypt.

Are you a complainer or problem solver? It is not what happens to you, but what you do with it.

All the good, the bad and the ugly that you have been through are rae materials for you to come up with solutions. When you learn to use them and provide much need solutions to problems that the world is facing you will have a way of escape from what ever pit you are in.

I am not saying that injustices of any kind are OK, but no matter how hard we fight bad things are going to happened and in most cases it will be completely out of your control. The only thing that you have totally control over is your attitude and response.

Be a problem solver and you will be unstoppable.
